The CalSTRS Enterprise Risk & Financial System Support is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) on the Enterprise Compliance Services (ECS) Team.
- Enterprise Compliance Services mission is to promote further awareness of CalSTRS compliance requirements and ethical standards through collaboration, communication, and coordination._ _ECS strives to consistently and frequently communicate and educate internal and external stakeholders on enterprise compliance.
- The CalSTRS Enterprise Compliance Services program is seeking a motivated Enterprise Compliance Analyst to be an integral part of our team of compliance professionals working together to increase awareness of ethical business conduct and doing the right thing. You will be a vital team member to assist the organization to prevent, detect, and respond to potential violation of laws, regulations and policies and further develop and implement the enterprise compliance activities. These activities include but are not limited to promoting a positive control environment and an ethical culture consistent with CalSTRS’ core values, serving as a resource for compliance and ethical decisions, participating and assisting in the mitigation of identified compliance and ethics risk, and actively communicate and educate CalSTRS staff on the importance of compliance and ethics.
- Under the direction of the ECS Senior Manager, the AGPA is independently responsible for performing a variety of complex analytical assignments and projects that support CalSTRS’ ECS program activities. In addition, is tasked with analyzing and effectively executing compliance initiatives, as outlined in the compliance plan.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize complex and sensitive workload issues.
- Ability to prepare and present technical information in a format suitable for management/board reporting.
- Skills to communicate effectively with individuals and groups, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive team player who represents CalSTRS core values.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.
- **Telework Information**:CalSTRS offers a hybrid approach including in-office and remote work solutions with staff working on-site at our Headquarters in West Sacramento 2 days per week.

Working Conditions
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment with CalSTRS.
