Billing Specialist I

**Overview**:
**Hours**:

- Monday-Friday (7 AM until 4 PM)
- In-office 3-4 days per week

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Generate and issue customer invoices and credit memos utilizing Microsoft NAV/TC3 software, primarily for cargo handling, storage, and expense reimbursements. Prepare and manage necessary supporting documentation.
- Communicate with customers to follow up on the payment status of outstanding invoices.
- Maintain and organize billing files and relevant supporting documents.
- Update customer information in the business database as needed.
- Conduct peer reviews of invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Perform account reconciliations and engage in contract interpretation to ensure billing compliance.

**Qualification and Education Requirements**:

- 1-3 years of experience in billing or a similar role.
- Proficient in basic Excel and familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite.

**Required Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Capable of logical problem identification and resolution.

**Preferred Skills**:

- An Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft NAV software is a plus.
