**Duties**:

- Explore new or innovative contracting approaches to arrive at an equitable contract arrangement.
- Serve as an expert and provides advice, guidance, and assistance in relation to acquisition planning and contractual/procurement aspects for automated information systems for highly complex major weapon systems.
- Input contract data and voucher information into automated databases.
- Advises the Project/Product Manage (PM) on the preparation of Source Selection Evaluation Plans, evaluation criteria, and weighting methodologies.

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Professional in the Acquisition Career Field Contracting within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Business travel is required at least 10% of the time.

- **Experience for the NH02**:
Three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to the NH-01 or GS-04 grade level, which includes: 1)Experience identifying and resolving problems in specifications and/or performance work statements; 2) Experience assisting allocating funds to ensure financial obligations are authorized and met; and 3) Experience interpreting procurement policy, regulations, and guidelines.
- **OR**

Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level leading to a bachelor's degree obtained from an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
- **OR**

Have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have some education above the high school level but less than required in B. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
- **OR**

Have the experience as described in A AND the education described in B. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

- This is a DoD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-II of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-05 through GS-11 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process, and expanded developmental opportunities.
