**Bargaining Unit/Salary Level**:While our salary range for this position is fixed, we believe the opportunity to work with us and contribute to our mission is invaluable. The pay rate for this position is $21.57 per hour in accordance with the agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Administrators Unit, Pay Level 1 with a comprehensive benefits package available.

**SUMMARY**

York County Community College (YCCC), a dynamic institution with a proud 30-year history of transforming lives and communities throughout York County, Maine, is seeking an exceptional contributor to join our team as the Marketing Assistant. The Marketing Assistant at York County Community College plays a pivotal role in crafting, managing, and optimizing engaging multimedia content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. This position collaborates closely with the marketing team to support the college's promotional efforts through graphic design tasks for digital and print assets, ensuring a vibrant online presence that aligns with the institution's goals.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Content Creation and Management (50%):

- Design, create, and manage captivating multimedia content, such as posts, videos/reels, and graphics, across multiple social platforms.

Graphic Design Support (30%):

- Assist the marketing department by providing graphic design support for college websites, digital platforms, and print materials.

Campaign Collaboration (10%):

- Brainstorm and strategize with team members to develop innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with the target audience.

Social Media Optimization (10%):

- Monitor social media trends and analytics to refine content strategies and ensure maximum engagement.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE POSITION**

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- One to three years of experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position.

**Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, graphic design, and short video reels.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva Pro).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Creative thinker with keen attention to detail and aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with SEO, keyword research, and web analytics tools is a plus.
