General Summary:
Additive at Scale is a Technology Center located in College Station, Texas. We are new to the Brazos Valley and have state-of-the-art equipment and machinery. We are currently hiring injection molding and additive manufacturing (3D Printing) machine operators. We are looking for someone with injection molding experience doing machine set-ups, changeovers, tool changes, material loading, maintenance, assembly, and more.

Required Qualifications:

- Minium of 2 years of experience in any manufacturing setting (i.e. machining, casting, molding, joining, shearing, forming, 3D printing).
- Must have hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledgeable in plastics and material selection.
- Must be skilled as an operator and at job set-ups and changeovers.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of injection molding experience
- GED or High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness for on-going training

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to use overhead cranes, forklifts, or jibs to lift production tools in and out of machines.
- Ability to operate forklift and/or pallet jack for shipping and receiving.
- Ability to move up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.

Job Duties:

- Working with operators and production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements.
- Responsible for all aspects of injection molding process.
- Set-up new product runs, evaluate various materials, and complete T0 shots.
- Heavily involved in startups and shutdowns, as well as troubleshooting machines.
- Assisting with installing or setting up auxiliary equipment.
- Assist Level 2 and 3 Process Technician with documentation on production runs that can be used for traceability and conformance.
- Assist Level 2 and 3 Process Technician with improvement of molding process parameters.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by learning and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Responsible for mold changeovers, cleanouts, storage, and preventative maintenance.
- Reports unsafe or dangerous conditions to the Production Manager or Engineer.
- Assisting in the set-up of new manufacturing jobs for sampling of prototype tools or production tools.
- Ensures safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Prepare and operate machines for job shop manufacturing, 3D printing prototypes, small batches, and wide variety of custom parts.
- Exhibits and demonstrates technical skills needed to safely execute and improve manufacturing of injection molded parts.
- Involved in the continuous improvement of operations and quality of goods and services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to effectively communicate both orally, digitally, and in writing.
- Ability to interact with operators, engineers, supervisors, and clients positively and professionally.
- Ability to work hands on with tools and/or assist with machine maintenance.
- Ability to follow post processing and assembly instructions for manufactured goods.

Equipment:

- JM-88 Mark 6, JM-208 Mark 6, and Borche 560 - Injection Molding Machines.
- High Speed Extrusion Machines - 3D Printers
- Material Driers, Thermolators, Air Compressors, Water Pumps - Auxiliary Equipment
- Overhead crane and/or jib crane.
- Forklift and/or pallet jack
- Hand/power tools
- Standard office equipment: computer, keyboard, multifunctional printer, telephone.
