**Job Summary**

We’re looking for a confident, self-starter whose first instinct is to search YouTube when they need to

solve a problem or learn a new skill. This role is perfect for individuals who wish to enter the

business side of stand-up comedy through a growing company comprised of seasoned industry

veterans.

**Social Media and Marketing Coordinator** **Job** **Qualifications**
- 1-3 years working in a marketing or social media role, preferably for a live entertainment venue, promoter, or agency
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to work under pressure to meet strict and fluid deadlines
- The ability to prioritize daily tasks and easily pivot those priorities when necessary
- Comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A passion for stand-up comedy and/or the entertainment industry
- Proficiency with Google Suite Applications (Gmail, Drive, etc.)
- Flexibility to work irregular hours

**Social Media and Marketing Coordinator

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the overall social media calendar for comedy clubs
- Develop engaging content for all social media platforms including copywriting, designing promotional graphics, sourcing personalized promo clips, and repurposing event footage from on-site contacts
- Act as project manager in the timely production of upcoming weekly and monthly graphic design needs
- Monitor incoming electronic communication and address questions and concerns promptly
- Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content when needed
- Attend events as needed to produce live social media content
- Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels
- Monitor social media channels for evolving industry trends and best practices
- Review analytics and create reports on key metrics
- Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy

The roster of JTP-managed venues includes Laugh Boston, Nick’s Comedy top, ROAR Comedy Club at MGM Springfield, The Comedy Scene at Patriot Place, Off Cabot Comedy & Events, Plano House of Comedy and Detroit House of Comedy, along with programming in several regional theaters. In addition to owning and operating several comedy clubs, John Tobin Presents works closely with the area’s top comics to develop and produce the funniest, most innovative comedy content in New England for all social media platforms.
