Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers. This is a vital role within our organization, as it directly impacts our financial operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
- Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments
- Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software QuickBooks and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles is a plus.
