This position serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist in the Current Operations (COPS) Branch, S-3 Division and is immediately accountable to the Senior Watch Officer. Responsible for receiving, distributing, and analyzing information to integrate, synchronize, and coordinate resources across the spectrum of Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Operations. Provides unity of efforts for MCCOG daily operations and serve as the Commanding Officer (CO) eyes, ears, and voice to external organizations. Assists the COPS Officer in the current fight to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of United States Marine Corps (USMC) information and information systems worldwide. Coordinates the daily activities of team members consisting of Department of the Navy (DoN) civilians, Marines, and government contractors that directly support the MCCOG in providing worldwide support to the entire United States Marine Corps in a 24x7 environment 365 days a year.
