**Job Description** - **Employment Services Director for Interfaith-RISE -** Reformed Church of Highland Park Affordable Housing Corporation (RCHP-AHC)

**Position Description**

The Employment Services Director for Interfaith-RISE directs the Interfaith-RISE Employment Services team to prepare and empower newly arrived refugees to achieve financial self-sufficiency through employment. Interfaith-RISE is a program of RCHP-AHC. The director will offer vision and leadership to a growing and diverse refugee employment and job readiness initiative operating in central and southern New Jersey. The director will develop strategies to expand sustainable refugee employment opportunities and lead outreach efforts to prospective employers and job readiness partners, and will manage the agency’s Employment Services case workers and direct services to clients, ensure compliance with Agency reporting requirements, work collaboratively with team members, and meet performance goals. This position reports to the I-RISE Executive Director.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage Employment Services team’s provision of the following services in compliance with program requirements: intakes and assessments, employment preparation, job readiness training, placement support, career enhancement services, credential evaluations, and follow-up services.
- Develop and oversee group and one-on-one job readiness courses that provide clients with the basic skills required to enhance their employability, such as cultural and workplace orientation, mock interviews, creation of resumes, and job skills development sessions.
- Ensure clients receive comprehensive employment plans for each employable adult.
- Ensure accurate digital and physical attendance, assessment, and service provision records.
- Develop and maintain long term relationships with area employers to enhance employment opportunities for clients.
- Monitoring client job performance, wage level, and employer/employee satisfaction.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance to all reporting requirements, including report completion, database management, case noting, and file maintenance..
- Supervise and assist Employment Services’ case workers, agency interns, and volunteers. Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business or social work or related field of study; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in employment services, especially working with refugees and a multicultural environment,
- Demonstrated supervisory or mentoring experience desired.
- Demonstrated experience with employment development programming and knowledge of public and private jobs resources in New Jersey preferred.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written; bilingual ability in another language is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with current insurance, and the willingness to travel regularly throughout Central and Southern NJ..

The position of Employment Services Director reports to the Executive Director of Interfaith-RISE.
