**Job Overview**

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our admissions team as Beacon Liaisons. Reporting to the Community Outreach Lead, this short-term, temporary position is ideal for current staff looking to earn extra pay or parents eager to get involved. Beacon Liaisons will play a crucial role in our student recruitment efforts by tabling at community events, working on special projects, canvassing door-to-door, and supporting various recruitment events. This is a part-time position with an hourly pay rate of $20.

**Key Job Responsibilities**
- Represent Great Lakes Academy at community events, providing information and answering questions about the school.
- Canvass door-to-door in targeted neighborhoods to distribute informational materials and engage with prospective families.
- Assist with the organization and execution of recruitment events, including setup, breakdown, and on-site support.
- Work on special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall recruitment strategy.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure cohesive and effective outreach efforts.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with the public and representing GLA.
- Provide feedback and insights from community interactions to help improve recruitment strategies.

**Ideal Qualifications**
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Familiarity with the South Chicago community is a plus.
- Previous experience in outreach, customer service, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Eligibility to work in the United States on a part-time basis.

**Compensation**
- Hourly pay: $20
- Part-time, temporary position
