Social Media Manager

**General Position Summary**:The Social Media Manager is responsible for managing web content and overseeing social media channels to enhance our online presence and engage with our target audience effectively to consistently articulate DCSPCA’s mission.
- Responsibilities include:_
- Create and manage high-quality, engaging content for our website, ensuring alignment with brand voice and messaging.
- Update website content regularly to keep it fresh, relevant, and optimized for search engines.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings and enhance user experience.
- Develop and execute social media strategies across various platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Create compelling social media content, including posts, graphics, and videos, to drive engagement and foster community interaction.
- Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, and respond in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and nurture relationships with our online community by fostering conversations, addressing inquiries, and resolving customer issues.
- Identify opportunities for user-generated content and encourage user participation through contests, polls, and interactive campaigns.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to continuously improve our digital marketing efforts.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to web content and social media, and provide regular reports to management.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations for optimizing digital marketing strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest analytics tools and methodologies to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Assist Development Director with Fundraising activities as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
- Excellent research and proofreading skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva for content creation
- Experience in video editing is a plus
- Proficiency in web content management systems (Wix) and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for various digital platforms
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions
- Creative thinker with a passion for staying current on digital marketing trends and best practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
- Commitment to mission, vision, and values of the DCSPCA.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,458.40 per year
