Financial Aid Officers work with students, parents, staff, and the community to provide quality customer service to all who seek services of the Financial Aid Office. Counseling positions require strong communicators who are team players, willing and able to keep informed of the changes in Federal Student Aid and Wisconsin state aid regulations. This position will carry out responsibilities while at the UW Oshkosh and UW Fox Cities campuses and occasionally at special events at other locations as needed. The individual in this position will provide financial aid counseling to support the financial needs for students at each of these campuses, as part of the recruitment and retention process.
- Responsibilities40% - Program Management - manage programs to serve the needs of the Financial Aid Office. This will involve collaborating with the Financial Aid team, other departments, and staff on each campus. Utilize web, print, and other resources to remain current with federal eligibility issues, compliance, and processing. This position will also be expected to cross-train with the other Financial Aid Officers to learn the federal and state aid programs.

10% - Presentations - present on various financial aid topics to groups of various sizes both on and off campus for recruitment and retention purposes. This position will represent the Financial Aid Office at various events at each campus.

10% - Other duties associated with the Financial Aid Office may be assigned to this position based on the needs of the department. These will be determined by the Director of Financial Aid.
- Qualifications- Required:
- A Bachelor's degree.- Knowledge of Federal Student Aid policies, regulations, and procedures.- Strong skills in customer service, communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.- Ability to use PeopleSoft Student Information System.- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.- Preferred:
- Master's Degree- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)- Experience working within Universities of Wisconsin- Experience working in student financial aid with a strong preference for those who have experience with the FAFSA Simplification Act.- Proficiency with PeopleSoft Student Information System.- To Apply:
