The Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom in the Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED), is currently seeking a Student Assistant to join their team of professionals. Duties to include:

- Assist with events
- Participates in student study sessions with 4 Senior Leadership Fellows
- Supports Director and staff in office related duties

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Customer service knowledge
- Basic level of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.

**Desired Qualifications**:
Organizational skills, bilingual, and some event organizational experience

**Student Disclosure**:

- Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
- During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
- Upon graduating, student employment must end.

**Work Schedule**:
20 hours per week
( 1- 5pm) might have some evenings when events are held

**Advertised Salary**:
$12.00/hour
