**Responsibilities**:

- Backloading important translations from the website Content Management System (CMS) to Lingotek translation connector, to increase coverage of translated web content.
- Submit and verify that translations are free from errors, omissions, or mistranslations.
- Audit and fix the mixed use of simplified and traditional Chinese translations.
- Assess whether translated content is culturally appropriate for the target audience in China. This includes considering local customs, sensitivities, and nuances to ensure the content resonates well with the Chinese readership.
- Evaluate the usability and readability of the translated content. Make sure it is user-friendly, easy to understand, and aligns with the overall user experience goals of the website or platform. Provide suggestions for improving clarity and readability, if necessary.

**Qualifications** Qualifications**:

- Familiarity with localization guidelines and standards.
- Ability to convert written materials into a second language.
- Excellent translation, writing, and communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Simplified Chinese.
- Knowledge of the translation process, terminology, and localization techniques.
- Experience with Content Management Systems and Translation Connectors; Drupal and Lingotek preferred.
- Passion for working in the web content-related field and experience in semiconductors would be an asset.
- Understanding of UX principles and UI design best practices and capable of reviewing translations in context to ensure that the content contributes to the user experience instead of detracting from it.
- Comfortable working with other teams like product and marketing to ensure that localization strategy is applied throughout UI design, testing and QA, and marketing.
- Ability to work well under pressure and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in different time zone as needed.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment or educational Visa for contractors.

**Project timeline**:

- Available to start immediately
- 20 hours a week
- 6-month contract with the possibility to extend
