Shopfront Operations Team Leader

The Director of Shopfront Operations is responsible for the development and implementation of retail strategies to drive the KPIs of the Home Entertainment (HE) division. Managing a team of direct reports and a 3rd-party labor force, this person will ensure flawless retail execution and sell-out maximization of the company’s consumer electronics portfolio.

The role requires a high degree of responsibility for human and financial resources and will require the incumbent to provide recommendations to optimize returns on resource investments. This person will provide hands-on leadership to maximize both individual employee and team performance.

**Key responsibilities**
- Define the mission and set the direction for a team of 3rd party Area Sales Managers that engage with retail salespeople at premier consumer electronics retailers across the country
- Drive the NPI process to ensure flawless digital and brick-and-mortar execution
- Establish granular sell-out targets tied to HE business unit goals
- Manage VPL program at Best Buy and ensure alignment to LG KPIs
- Devise and maintain an effective issue resolution plan (break/fix) for retail displays
- Provide market sensing and disseminate regularly to key stakeholders
- Conduct regular performance reviews at both regional and store level, identifying issue stores and defining plans to address
- Assemble and maintain floor mapping of competitive products
- Take steps to improve the utility and efficacy of retail shopfront visits
- Continuously optimize labor coverage model for maximum efficiency
- Coordinate and drive the 3rd party labor RFP process to secure the most effective and cost-efficient solution provider
- Provide ad-hoc support for special events, executive visits, MI requests, etc.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 10+ years experience in consumer marketing, retail merchandising, channel management, or strategy/management consulting
- Strong relationship building skills, outstanding communication ability, solid business acumen, and ability to thrive in a consensus-based, matrixed organization
- Proven track record of developing and managing remote teams
- Experience dealing with big-box national, regional, and online retailers
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
