**Description**:
**SUMMARY**:Performs essential customer service and registration tasks utilizing a variety of computer software programs. Answers telephones and performs tasks related to customer service needs. May exercise limited supervision over subordinate part-time clerical personnel. Performs related duties as assigned.

**Essential Functions**:

- Collects registration/facility fees and enters into the registration system.
- Enters facility requests for the general public, staff, and Youth Sports Partners.
- Assists with program transfers, refunds, and account transactions as needed.
- Reconciles daily receipts and resolves internal account discrepancies.
- Assists with basicREC and Camp basicREC weekly declines.
- Performs period-end processing related to registration software program.
- Answers telephone inquiries and provides excellent customer service to callers.
- Reviews incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assists with itemizing survey responses for programs and facility rentals.
- Performs on-site registration as needed.
- Maintains the Department’s Laserfiche system, ranger logs, Incident/Accident reports, Insurance Certificates, contracts, and other items as needed.
- May drive a County vehicle.
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Typical Qualifications**:
**EDUCATION**:High School diploma or GED equivalency required.

**EXPERIENCE**:Experience in use of registration software, web-based software, and social media marketing. Three to five years of clerical and receptionist experience in a fast-paced environment.

**OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:Thorough knowledge and use of (1) standard office practices and procedures and possess excellent communication skills and customer service and (2) knowledge of business English, spelling and mathematics. Proficient computer skills and the ability to understand and be trained in the use of the registration software and other programs. Ability to handle a busy, multi-line telephone system. Experience in the use of standard office equipment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public and possess professional telephone etiquette.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND/OR REGISTRATIONS**:Possesses a valid driver’s license. Cardiopulmonary Resucitation/First Aid Certification required or can be obtained within a month of hiring.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Requires good physical condition - demanding regular physical effort including but not limited to walking, talking, writing, typing, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, climbing, balancing, lifting, pushing and pulling, sitting, gripping. Working and lifting with equipment and materials over 30 pounds is common. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
**ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS**:The employee holding this position will work in a heated and air-conditioned office. May also work outside as needed.
