**Summary**:
This position is located in the **Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Office of Enforcement**. The incumbent conducts complex data and economic analysis and uses econometric models and compliance analytics on difficult and complex topics related to consumer financial decisions (including markets and laws).

**Responsibilities**:
As an Enforcement Economist, you will:
Provide expert advice to attorneys; support and participates in drafting discovery requests; help select, work with, and support external testifying expert witnesses; and provide testimony in support of the CFPB's cases, as appropriate
. Develop and present budget recommendations to support analyses and research plans
. Independently identify potential problems in consumer financial markets and anticipate the need for economic knowledge and plans accordingly
. Conduct independent research related to consumer financial law and collaborate with economists in other offices in the CFPB
