- HourlyThe Administrative Assistant at Our Lady of Ransom will serve as the primary point of contact with guests to the parish offices and will support this small suburban staff with administrative needs. This individual will be primarily responsible for answering the phone and greeting guests of the parish offices in a way that moves beyond a transactional relationship to one of true relationship and bridge-building. Additionally, they will provide administrative assistant to the Operations Manager, the pastor, and other staff as time allows.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers phones and greets guests to the parish, ensuring that the parish offices are a place of radical hospitality built upon a relational, rather than transactional, model of Christian service;
- First point of contact for sacramental celebrations (e.g., weddings, baptisms, funerals, etc.);
- Sorts and distributes mail;
- Processes requests for sacramental records;
- Oversees the parish calendar while coordinating requests to use facilities and meeting spaces;
- Schedules Mass intentions and create and maintain the yearly Mass book;
- Oversees the response to parish registrations, including the information flow to other staff;
- Assists the pastor and the Operations Manager with administrative tasks, and other staff and volunteer leadership as time allows;
- Other duties as assigned.
- A practicing Roman Catholic who is faithful to the Magisterium of the Church in both word and deed.
- Preferred charisms: hospitality, administration, helps and/or encouragement.
- Willingness to present an authentic, welcoming, service-oriented attitude in dealing with staff and guests.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and complete simultaneous, unrelated projects.
- A desire to interact with the public in a service capacity.
- Knowledge of technology, software, and various means of communication, including: Microsoft Office, database management, and Quickbooks. Knowledge and prior experience with the Flocknote and eCatholic platforms a plus.
- Prior experience with parish office experience a plus.
