**Summary**: An Assistant Executive Housekeeper possesses great communication skills, is adaptable to change and has enthusiasm to develop skills and knowledge. A Housekeeping Manager is responsible for directing team performance, resolving conflicts, streamlining operations, hiring, training and scheduling t staff, ensuring guest satisfaction and managing inventory.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Obtains list of vacant rooms which need to be cleaned in order to prepare work assignments
- Assigns work to cleaning personnel and trains personnel in housekeeping duties
- Issues supplies and equipment to workers
- Inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
- Records inspection results and notifies cleaning personnel of inadequacies
- Posts room occupancy records and rooms ready for occupancy
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment
- Examines rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment and makes recommendations to management
- Examines carpets, drapes and furniture for stains, damage, or wear
- Checks and counts linens and supplies
- Inventories and places orders for supplies and equipment to ensure adequate levels
- Assists in performing cleaning and laundry duties
- Conducts interviewing, hiring and new hire training to explain policies, procedures and use of equipment
- Schedule work hours and keep time records
- Complete necessary paperwork and communicate payroll, onboarding, termination and personnel changes to HR
- Addresses concerns regarding work performance and personnel actions
- Report to maintenance needed repairs or unsafe conditions
- Greet and acknowledge guests
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping and supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time with or without accommodations.
- Basic computer and math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Reading and writing abilities
