Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefit Specialist to join our team. As a Benefit Specialist, you will be responsible for managing employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in financial concepts and HRIS systems to contribute to the success of our organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- Coordinate open enrollment periods and communicate benefit options to employees
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS system
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve benefit-related issues and ensure accurate billing
- Conduct research on industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements to benefit programs
- Assist employees with benefit inquiries and provide guidance on plan options
- Prepare reports and analyze data related to employee benefits utilization and costs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding employee benefits

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or related role
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts related to employee benefits
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (experience with UltiPro is a plus)
- Familiarity with journal entries, corporate accounting, technical accounting, payroll, and double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
