**Minimum Qualifications**

This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS)* and applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position:
Required experience: Seven years of experience** in planning multi-trade building facility construction projects, or in policy development or planning of multi-trade municipal land use projects.
**Applicant degrees in related fields may substitute for experience as follows:

- No degree: seven years of required experience.
- Associate degree: two years of required experience.
- Bachelor’s degree: four years of required experience.
- Master’s degree: five years of required experience.
- Doctorate degree: six years of required experience.

Applicants may also be appointed to this position if currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title OR Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service as an Architect 1 or Building Construction Program Manager 2 and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

**Duties Description**
- Manage, plan, and coordinate medium sized and complex new building construction and rehabilitation projects for NYS Facilities.
- Planning activities; may include coordination of phasing and other client and campus specific needs for multi-year projects.
- Assist higher level staff in managing more complex building construction projects.
- Management activities will include monitoring and coordinating consultant and professional Construction Management services.
- Perform a full range of supervisory duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Some travel is required.
