Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and generate shipments based on customer orders, ensuring optimal utilization of inventory and transportation resources.
  • Create and process customer orders with precision, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with customers to make necessary adjustments to orders, addressing and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to order fulfillment.
  • Communicate with the Transportation Specialist (TSP) to confirm that all shipments are ready for release, providing necessary documentation and information to facilitate smooth transportation operations.
  • Liaise with internal teams and customers to provide updates on shipment status and address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Assist in inventory management activities, including cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the logistics function and provide suggestions for optimization.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of logistics experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Experience with SAP, Manhattan, OpenDock or other TMS software a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the logistics field, with a strong work ethic and proactive attitude.
