**Dispatch Supervisor** **Assista**nt**
- Assist the Dispatch Supervisors with administrative tasks and customer engagementto ensure that Transdev is meeting or exceeding our operational goals in dispatchand providing outstanding customer service.**Essential Job Functions**:
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor the performance of dispatchers and same day schedules. Work closelywith the Dispatch Supervisors to identify and correct performance issues toensure compliance with policies and procedures.**Staff **Developmen**t**:
Support the Dispatch Supervisors by fostering a positive working environment.Ensure that best practices in customer service and leadership are upheld.**Communication and Conflict Resolution**:
Maintain regular communication with the Dispatchers and Dispatch Supervisorsto ensure customer issues and requests are addressed promptly andacceptably. Use active listening skills to understand and resolve conflicts.**Scheduling **Assista**nce**:
Assist Dispatchers and Dispatch Supervisors in monitoring and addressing sameday schedule adherence by working directly with customers via phone, chat andtext to provide accurate ride information; identify and reschedule passengerswho are a good fit for alternative transportation services. Ensure that passengertrips are correctly recorded and updated in Trapeze and communicated to thealternative vendors.**Quality Assurance**:
- Support the Dispatch Department in assuring the quality ofdispatch operations. Monitor routes to identify and resolve performanceissues. Provide EZ Pay account information like account balance, trip/activitydetails, and deposits as needed.**Backup Support**:
- Provide backup support for dispatch duties as needed withoutcompromising primary administrative responsibilities.**Continuous Improvement**:
- Contribute to ongoing efforts to optimize dispatchoperations, enhance service quality, and ensure compliance with relevantregulations and standards.**Meeting Participation**:
- Attend periodic meetings with stakeholders,representing the dispatch team and potentially taking the lead on meetings inthe absence of the Dispatch Supervisors.**Issue Escalation and Reporting**:
- Proactively identify and escalate issuesoutside normal operating parameters to the Dispatch Supervisors, ensuringtimely resolution and minimizing impact on service quality.Cross-departmental support: Assist other departments as needed,demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative spirit to ensure overallorganizational success.Other Duties as Assigned**Qualificatio**ns**:
Experience in dispatch and/or reservations.Strong administrative, organizational, conflict resolution, and communicationskills.Ability to work closely with, and support both the Dispatch Supervisors andthe Dispatchers in day-to-day operations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with paratransit schedulingsoftware.Knowledge of the service area, traffic patterns, and paratransit operations.**Essential Knowledge and Abilities**:
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writtenform.Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in pressure situations with fellowemployees, supervisors, dispatchers, and bus operators to attain the bestpossible transit service for customers.Knowledge of Trapeze preferred.Ability to operate standard office machines including, but not limited to copymachine, printers, scanner, computer, telephones.- The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
