We share the Good News of Jesus with them as they move toward independence, stability, and healthy relationships.**
**Summary / Purpose of Position**:This position's primary responsibilities are to ensure the quality and safety of all repairs performed at the Auto Shop and to teach the mechanic trade to interns.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Perform repairs on Miracle Hill Ministries (MHM) and Auto Shop cars.
- Collaborate with director to determine the MHM and Auto Shop vehicle repairs to be completed and the order or priority.
- Ensure timely completion of all MHM vehicle maintenance.
- Delegate Auto Shop tasks to interns based on their experience.
- Oversee Auto Shop intern progress, ensuring the quality of their work.
- Manage purchasing for Auto Shop, including auto parts and shop supplies.
- Answer phones in a professional manner.
- Wash, clean and detail cars.
- Treat customers and co-workers in a kind, respectful and professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- License/Certification: Valid SC driver's is required, and MVR record must meet MHM Insurance criteria.
- ASE certified (Master Tech preferred).
- Auto repair experience: 7 years
- Must have extensive knowledge of auto repair, including ability to perform automobile tune-ups, remove and replace parts and diagnose automobile problems.
- Must be able to clearly explain complex automobile systems.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift and work on one's feet for an entire shift.
- Lift and move 75 pounds.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
