**Onsite position**

Responsible for working in conjunction with the Superintendent and Project Manager in coordinating construction efforts for both new construction and building renovation projects. Assistant Superintendent is also accountable for the management of project field forces, tradesmen, foremen, other trades, and subcontractor/suppliers along with the overall safety and quality of work performed.

RESPONSIBILITES

1. Plan, coordinate and direct the efficient use of labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors/suppliers to secure safe, high-quality construction at minimum cost in accordance with the LeChase Fundamental Requirements.

2. Maintain daily communications with Superintendent/General Superintendent regarding status of project/phase of construction under your supervision.

3. Coordinate, participate, contribute, and implement the Project Team responsibilities of pre-construction, construction, and post-construction assignments.

4. Ascertain that foremen and their crew members understand clearly what he/she is to do each day and determine if daily goals are met or exceeded. Analyze the causes of and eliminate wasted time and cost overruns. Quantify and evaluate accurate daily productivity for maximum efficiency control and report same to office weekly.

5. Inspect incoming material for quality, count, completeness, and contract compliance. Coordinate deliveries, placement, and storage of materials to minimize handling and damage.

6. Ensure that all required paperwork is filled out accurately, correctly and turned in timely. The required paperwork includes time sheets with phase codes, daily reports, productivity/quantity reports, accident reports, equipment/scaffolding release forms, project status reports, invoice approvals (when required), field purchase orders, time and material sheets, extra work/backcharge sheets, equipment time reports, safety meeting minutes, job meeting minutes, tool inventory reports, etc.

7. Inform the Superintendent/Project Manager of any significant changes required in the scope of work. Awareness of change order or extra work order items is especially important.

8. Follow and implement company safety program. Conduct safety meetings and safety inspections, ensure toolbox talks are being conducted and maintain good housekeeping.

9. Coordinate, cooperate and assist subcontractors, suppliers, and other prime trades. Maintain good working relationships.

10. Communicate with other management staff. Encourage communication and ideas from crews, foremen, other trades through weekly/daily meetings. Anticipate and develop problem solving techniques.

11. Constantly maintain As-Built Drawings and other project close-out requirements throughout construction. Prepare punch lists as project nears completion for final inspection.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education/Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent education required. Vocational and/or college diploma in construction-related field preferred.
- Technical, mechanical, electrical, communication, or leadership training preferred.
- 3+ years of construction experience preferred.

2. Skills/Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Proven ability to work well within a project team

Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
