Manufacturing Supervisor

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Directs the work of a unionized workforce.
- Organize shipping orders and loads to best meet scheduling demands.
- Assign workloads to employees to best meet requirements.
- Communicate with Manufacturing and Sales departments to ensure accurate information is gathered.
- Ensure employees are trained properly and understand proper load building, securement, and safety processes.
- Works closely with Norbet dispatcher to ensure proper loading and safety requirements are always met.
- Enforce company rules and use proper disciplinary actions when needed.
- Complete daily reports and audits.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.

**Qualifications and Other Requirements**:

- High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year experience supervising a shipping function
- Ability to work a flexible and extended schedule based on business demands
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, precipitation)
- Ability to work effectively and accurately under tight deadlines in a just-in-time manufacturing environment
