**The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations including**

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:

- Take ownership of the general ledger and month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries and supporting work paper reconciliations for balance sheet and expense accounts
- Review and record daily cash receipts. Reconcile between internal reports and bank statements
- Manage and maintain all electronic banking and other vendor accounts
- Prepare journal entries and related reconciliations for all prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intangible assets, accrued liabilities and other long-term liabilities
- Create, analyze and present monthly and annual financial statements and various periodic management reports
- Actively participate with management in preparation of annual budgets
- Monitor receivables, payables, budget variances and important trends
- Provide support for the annual financial statements and various ad-hoc tax requests from outside tax accountants
- Prepare annual 1099s
- Supervise accounting staff and their functions including payroll and A/R & Collections to ensure accuracy and proper internal controls
- Handle all A/P
- Review and file Business and Property tax returns
- Provide special analysis to assist CEOs and Directors

**SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and Sage 100
- Must work well with Team Management environment
- Excellent leadership, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and organization skills.
- Able to meet deadlines

**EXPERIENCE DESIRED**:

- Should have an Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, and 7+ years relevant experience
- Experience managing staff
- Sage 100 / ADP/ Namely Payroll / Excel intermediate level / Crystal Reports
- Full Charge Bookkeeping
