**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Supervise, guide, and manage a team of welders, machine operators, & assembers, providing them with the necessary training and support.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate activities of the shop.
- Hosting weekly meetings to inform employees of weekly agenda, facility updates, and resources changes.
- Monitor the welding processes, ensuring all procedures are adhered to, and work is upto company standards.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly.
- Schedule workflow and manage the team's workload, ensuring projects are completedon time.
- Review welding procedures and welder qualifications in accordance with relevant standards and specifications.
- Review blueprints to ensure assembly is being completed correctly.
- Regularly inspect completed work to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards at all times.
- Communicate regularly with management, providing updates on projects, employee performance, and any potential issues.
- Communicate with the Inventory department to source or maintain inventory levels.
- Handle any personnel issues, including conflict resolution and training.
- Keep up to date with advancements and best practices in the industry to improve operations.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification or Associate degree in Welding Technology or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient knowledge of different welding techniques, including GMAW & FCAW.
- Understanding of welding safety measures, and knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines.
- Extensive ASME Section 8 pressure vessel code; managed the paperwork and process for manufacturing a code vessel.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
**Work Hours**:
Shop Foreman will have the same work schedule/hours as shop employees including when they work overtime and weekends based on manufacturing demands. The work schedule rotates from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM to 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (depending on temperatures outside).
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
