**What’s The Job?**
The Accounts Payable and Cash Specialist will assist in ensuring that the company is monitoring the outflow of capital through invoice processing, calculating cash flows, posting business transactions, and verifying financial data for use in maintaining records.

**What You’ll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part**
- As an accounts payable specialist, you should exhibit sound knowledge of best practices in accounting and experience in a similar role. An accomplished accounts payable specialist will be someone whose accounting expertise translates into optimized expense control processes
- Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data.
- Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Process three-way match for all purchase orders
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.
- Relays changes of information to appropriate employees
- Other duties as assigned

**What You’ve Done And Who You Are**

- High school diploma required; Bachelor's or associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field highly preferred
- At least 3 years' experience as an accounts payable specialist, or similar.
- Knowledge of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and industry regulations.
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
- Great time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
