Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Assisting During Surgical Procedures**:

- Prepare the operating room for surgery by sterilizing instruments, setting up equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Assist the oral surgeon during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and managing surgical suction.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration as directed by the oral surgeon.
- Anticipate the needs of the oral surgeon during procedures and provide support accordingly.
- **Patient Care**:

- Greet patients and prepare them for surgery by explaining procedures, addressing any concerns, and obtaining consent forms.
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure their comfort before, during, and after surgery.
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and caregivers, including information on pain management and dietary restrictions.
- Follow up with patients to assess their recovery progress and address any post-operative issues or concerns.
- **Sterilization and Maintenance**:

- Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols to maintain a sterile surgical environment.
- Maintain and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure they are readily available when needed.
- Clean and disinfect the operating room between procedures to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a hygienic environment.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other members of the oral surgery team, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate patient care and address any issues or concerns that may arise during procedures.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per year
