**Duties**:
The Assistant Deputy Associate Administrator for the Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Office:

- Assists the Deputy Associate Administrator in the management and supervision of headquarters and program management office personnel.
- Supports the Deputy Associate Administrator for SCaN in providing leadership and advocacy at the agency level, representing NASA, SCaN headquarters and program functions to include interests across international, interagency, legislative, executive, and industry/commercial communities.
- Provides program management leadership and oversight across an array of projects spanning the entire program lifecycle to include technology development, engineering, integration, operations and sustainment of space communications and navigation systems.
- Provides leadership and oversight over SCaN headquarters and program management office functions, including business operations, financial, contracting, personnel, and related areas.
- Provides oversight and expertise in the development of policy recommendations and provides guidance for functions supporting the Agency including spectrum, standards, technology, external coordination, resources, and systems engineering that are aligned with the Agency's strategic objectives. Supports the Deputy Associate Administrator for SCaN as the Senior Agency policy person on commercialization, data standards and interoperability.
- Develops SCaN Program policy recommendations and guidelines relative to external organizations to ensure that customer requirements are effectively satisfied.
- Develops and maintains SCaN Program execution plan for ensuring mission success for all current and planned space flight missions through effective management of resources and funding priorities of the SCaN networks.
- Represents SCaN in senior-level interaction with international, interagency, and commercial partners.
- Develops training programs and identifies training shortfalls and opportunities to enable the entire SCaN program to operate cohesively and effectively.
- Fosters and continually drives a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence, and innovation within and outside of the organization and NASA. - The individual selected will be required to file an 'Executive Branch Personnel Financial Disclosure Report' (OGE-278) in accordance with the Ethics in Government Act of 1978.
- Successful completion of a background investigation commensurate with the risk and sensitivity level of the position.
- Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug testing may be required.
- Must meet qualifications requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

**Qualifications**:

- You must have the skill and ability to perform the duties described above as demonstrated by progressively responsible supervisory/leadership experience, normally obtained over several years by serving in positions at the GS-15 level or equivalent.-
