Manager, Performance Improvement

JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager of Performance Improvement is responsible for managing a team of continuous improvement professionals. The manager collaborates with organizational leadership to define and scope projects that strategically align the team with RCHSD's operational, quality, patient safety, and financial goals. They oversee and coordinate the planning, monitoring, and execution of a portfolio of projects focused on improving patient care and business outcomes. The manager coaches team members and educates colleagues on the use of process and quality improvement processes and tools. They provide analytical support to optimize the access, efficiency, and quality of care to patients. The manager must work effectively with multiple constituencies including senior leadership, physicians, nurses, other direct care givers, IT, finance, strategy, and other MPF and hospital departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
5 Years of Experience
Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or comparable degree
In lieu of Master's degree, combination of Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of directly related professional experience or 5 years and an advanced certification (such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma black belt, or equivalent) will be considered
Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with organizational stakeholders and work with them to understand problems and appropriately define and scope improvement projects
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead complex, multidisciplinary improvement activities resulting in measurable sustained improvement
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate succinctly and effectively across all levels of the organization
Ability to effectively present analysis finding and recommendations for process improvement to
various levels of management, including executives
Self-motivated and proactive individual with the ability to manage a portfolio of projects owned by various team members
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
7 Years of Experience
Management experience especially managing technical teams
Experience with data visualization software (such as Qlik/Tableau) and/or experience with data analysis using VBA, R, Python, etc.
Experience with project management of a portfolio of projects leveraging tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc.
**The current salary range for this position is $51.32 to $76.20
