**Job Description**:
Transfer and Articulation:
- Evaluate credit by examination and academic transcripts from colleges, universities, military, international, and additional areas by comparing the content of courses at the university and other institutions to determine transfer and other credit. Exercise independent judgment guided by policies, practices, and procedures to evaluate traditional and nontraditional transfer credit in order to determine course equivalencies.
-Supports ongoing maintenance of CAPP & DegreeWorks as the University updates degree requirements.
- Analyze transfer credit earned through standardized testing (e.g. AP, IB, CLEP) and PLA to identify transfer credit.
- Supports transfer credit evaluation and pre-evaluations for NCAA athletes.
- Works with advising and other student service areas for transfer credit questions and reverse transfer to support program completion.
- Provide information as needed to academic and departmental advisors about transfer articulation issues as related to specific students.
- Assist with the maintenance of the transfer articulation database module of the student information systems and the production of equivalency guides.
- Create and update transfer credit articulation rules in operational systems such as Banner, Transferology, and Transfer Evaluation System (TES).
- Serves as the resource for university transfer credit policies & practices, including responding to internal & external inquiries related to transfer credit.
- Assist with performing academic record audits for potential graduates.
Student Services:
- Process registrations, drops/adds, and withdrawals for students who come to the counter for assistance
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Two (2) years (24 months) of professional work experience in admissions, records, registration, and/or closely related experience within an educational setting.
- _(_NOTE_: A Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.)_
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using technical systems: Transfer Evaluation System (TES), Transferology, iTransfer portal & IAI - Illinois Articulation Initiative (i.e. Statewide articulation policy & transfer initiatives), Ellucian Banner (or similar SIS and relational database), knowledge of academic program or degree auditing systems Target X (i.e. CRM systems).
- The position requires a high degree of analysis to maintain accurate and up-to-date business processes, transfer records, and the enforcement of course articulation rules. Strong attention to detail, efficiency, accuracy, productivity, responsiveness, and student and collegial service.

- Outstanding communication and listening skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze complex information and exercise sound judgement in making decisions

- Knowledge in Microsoft Suite of products
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and occasional weekends.
