**Responsibilities**: The Specialist for Interpersonal Violence Prevention & Education reports to the Title IX Coordinator. This position is also responsible for six areas of project and programming management.

**Qualifications: Bachelor's** Degree in a related field required (Social Work, Psychology, Communications, Sociology, etc.) Master’s degree in Counseling, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Social Work, etc. preferred.

**Skills and Characteristics**:

- Exceptional project management skills, including budget management, program planning, program implementation, reporting, and program assessment skills
- Ability to communicate complex and sensitive matters in a clear and understandable manner
- Understanding of campus education issues addressing interpersonal violence—including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, hazing, and harassment
- General understanding of trauma-informed techniques to provide support and prevention programming concepts.
- Ability to advise the university community on coordinated prevention and response partnerships
- Basic knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations and procedures related to sexual assault, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, hazing, and harassment
- Ability to identify and coordinate methods and programs for meeting the needs of victims from under-represented populations
- Ability to analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements
- Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- Commitment to providing unbiased and inclusive support services
- Must be willing to work confidently and sensitively with distressed individuals.
