The Director of Grant Program Development for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is a strategic and pivotal role, primarily focused on the development, implementation, and management of grant programs that support the health center's services and initiatives. This position requires a blend of strategic planning, program development, financial acumen, and leadership skills. **Strategic Planning and Development**:

- Develop and implement a strategic plan for grant funding utilization that aligns with the FQHC's mission, goals, and objectives.
- Directly responsible for grant program implementation, monitoring, quality improvement processes, audit preparation, outcome measurement, policy development, budget compliance and utilization of all grants and programs assigned.

**Program Development**:

- Lead the design and development of programs funded through grants, ensuring they meet community needs and comply with funder requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community leaders, and stakeholders to develop innovative and effective health programs.
- Identifies areas of opportunity to further the mission and vision of the organization and works with the CEO and CFO in the development of strategies that are in keeping with the overall mission.

**Grant Management**:

- Manage awarded grants, including budget oversight, program implementation, and compliance with grant conditions.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to funders on program progress and outcomes.
- Ability to interpret grant, program or project goals and objectives and drives the grant, program, or project to meet the level of production or measurable outcomes established within the grant, program or project as assigned. Works with supervisor to identify any potential problem areas and assists in the resolution.

**Team Leadership**:

- Lead and manage the grant project managers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and excellence in grant program development.
- Integrates support functions effectively with the clinic services and operations.

**Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Build and maintain relationships with funders, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the FQHC in community and professional forums related to grant funding and program development.

**Compliance**
- Ensures compliance with county, state, and federal regulations within the assigned programs, including but not limited to Department of Health Services Licensing.
- Is fully knowledgeable of the details of the grant, program or project and can closely evaluate and monitor staff performance at all levels.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum Qualifications:_
- Bachelor's degree required in related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven track record in project management and working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in grant-funded programs.
- Preferred:_
- Experience serving a multicultural population, American Indian/Alaska Natives in particular.
- Familiarity with Community Health Clinics and/or Indian Health Clinics.
- Experience working with diabetes, immunization, alcohol/substance use prevention and/or mental health-related programs or services.

**Special Conditions of Employment**:

- Has a clean driving record and insurance as required by the state.
- Has reliable transportation.
- Current BLS and CPR certification on file with the Human Resources Department.

- Knowledge of the design and administration of grant funded programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Analytical, organizational, and leadership skills for staff supervision and direction.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and meticulous records.

- Able to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all staff and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations necessary to perform the job function.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite or related programs.
- Experience coaching and educating staff and peers.

**Flexibility**:Available for all shifts and, when required, able to work evenings and weekends
