The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to fill the full-time position of Service Worker. This position services our fleet, this includes checking and adding fuel, transmission fluid, oil, diesel exhaust fluid, and coolant. This position also maintains the cleanliness of all MTD vehicles and facilities. The work hours for this position are nights and weekends.

An excellent benefit package includes health insurance (included immediately at no charge for the employee) and a retirement plan.

**Beginning wage**: $20.78 - $23.74/per hour based on experience

**Closing date**: June 2, 2024 at 5:00p (CST)

**Education Requirements**

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  

**Experience Requirements**

A minimum of one year of work experience is preferred.

**Responsibilities**

Duties include:

- Fuels all vehicles
- Checks engine oil
- Checks transmission fluid
- Checks engine coolant
- Checks P/S or hydraulic fluid
- Cleans interior of all vehicles
- Cleans the Maintenance Facility
- Cleans bus shelters

Pay: $20.78 - $23.74 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
