- Collects and handles lab specimens as directed, according to protocol.
- Assists and instructs patients over the phone on treatment and medication related instructions.
- Educates the patient and their family on plan of care, and medications.
- Send and receive patient medical records, lab reports and hospital notes. Complete patient forms as needed.
- Work with insurance carriers to obtain authorizations
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- MUST SPEAK CHINESE
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Must have experience with EMR (preferably NextGen)
- Clear understanding of protocols and procedures in a medical office including health information management, confidentiality, and safety.
- Organize and prioritize responsibilities while remaining flexible to changing demands.
- Maintain high standards of care, and recognize normal and abnormal signs and symptoms of life threatening emergencies.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in high stress situations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, families, staff and others.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Must have high level of discretion and judgement.
- Ability to work overtime if necessary
