**Description**
The Texas General Land Office primarily serves the schoolchildren, veterans, and the environment of Texas. The agency does so by preserving our history, maximizing state revenue through innovative administration, and through the prudent stewardship of state lands and natural resources. This position is in our CDR-Program Integration program area.
Performs moderately complex (journey-level) computer systems analysis work for the Help Desk team in CDR's Program Integration area. Work involves analyzing and identifying system requirements for CDR software, aides in the development of procedures, assists with problems that arise in automated processing, and improving existing systems and implementing designs using software programming languages. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

**Essential Job Elements**
- Provides technical assistance and support for troubleshooting Grant Management Systems related problems. Assists in formulating logical descriptions of problems and devising optimum solutions.
- Analyzes, develops and tests new or existing procedures, objects, and workflows in Grant Management Systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assists with defining and supporting the goals of the Grant Management Systems and devises flow charts and diagrams describing logical and operational steps of projects.
- Analyzes, migrate, and interprets system data.
- Assists in information systems security administration. Performs related work as assigned and complies with all GLO policies.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations concerning existing information technology and systems processes and the development of new procedures, standards, tools, and techniques.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Two (2) years of full-time systems analysis and design work, testing, support, or closely related experience.
- Knowledge of the Texas Integrated Grant Reporting (TIGR) system.
- Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Visio and other Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of GLO business domains such as (but not limited to) disaster response and recovery.
- Experience working as a systems support analyst or a similar role.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems, and techniques used in the design of automated and non-automated systems, information technology equipment, applicable programming languages, computer hardware and software, and computer operating systems.
- Skills in solving problems in a help desk environment. Skills in troubleshooting computer systems.
- Ability to analyze systems and procedures, write and revise standards and procedures, handle multiple projects, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to attend work regularly and adhere to an established work schedule in accordance with agency leave and attendance.
