Job Overview:
The Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in understanding business objectives and challenges, identifying alternative solutions, and conducting studies along with cost/benefit analyses of various options.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and issues to automate processes or enhance existing computer systems.
2. Collaborate with personnel from different organizational units to evaluate current operational procedures, identify challenges, and ascertain specific input and output requirements, including data input forms and report formats.
3. Draft detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and the steps necessary to develop or modify computer programs.
4. Assess computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling constraints to determine the feasibility of requested programs or modifications within the existing system.
Additional Responsibilities:
The role includes being a key member of the team responsible for all Middleware activities between Operations management and Applications. The position also coordinates all Middleware server maintenance schedules and TIERS releases.
In case of issues within the operational ecosystem, the analyst evaluates problems, communicates with management, and leads the resolution efforts.
From an architectural perspective, the analyst advises on technical implementations, schedules, automation, and task distribution within the Middleware Team.
The role involves supporting core applications both on-premise and those migrated to cloud services, working with minimal supervision while exercising significant initiative and independent judgment. Collaboration across teams is essential under the guidance of the Director of Operations.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates who do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be selected for this opportunity.
1. 5 years of experience in installing, deploying, configuring, and administering WebSphere ND clusters/cells on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including upgrades and patches.
2. 5 years of experience tuning and troubleshooting large complex Java-based web applications in a Service-Oriented Architecture.
3. 5 years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies, with experience automating stages of the DevOps infinity loop model.
4. 4 years of experience creating Jenkins pipelines to automate WebSphere Application Server configurations.
5. 4 years of experience creating Ansible playbooks for automating WebSphere Application Server installations and deployments.
6. 4 years of experience with various scripting methodologies - UNIX, Jython, YAML, JSON.
7. 4 years of knowledge of Java and all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
8. 3 years of experience using Application Performance Management tools such as DynaTrace and Splunk.
9. Preferred experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow, IBM Operational Decision Manager, IBM DataPower, Adobe Experience Manager, and AWS solution architecture and management.
