Under the direction of the Associate Superintendent, the Supervisor-School Leadership Programs will be responsible for working on creating and sustaining a pipeline of highly effective aspiring school leaders and implementing systemic school leadership development opportunities.The incumbent of this position will also work directly with the associate superintendents and other executive personnel to facilitate career growth and career path succession for PGCPS principals and assistant principals.This position will operate as a conduit to all of PGCPS as it relates to leadership development and professional development.

This is an ASASP Unit II Table F Grade 4 Position

Salary Range:$111,842-$169,171

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:_**

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Provides professional leadership in organizing, administering, supervising, and the training for administrative personnel;
- Provides professional leadership in organizing, administering, supervising and evaluating staff development programs for school leaders
- Directs the development, evaluation, and/or revision of professional development programs and assumes responsibility for the full implementation of said programs;
- Coordinates and articulates professional growth plans and the use of professional learning experiences to improve upon their practices
- Evaluates instructional materials, digital resources, media acquisitions, and other instructional materials to support professional development and for subsequent use at schools;
- Develops plans for assessing and monitoring the impact of professional development on program participants;
- Collaborates the Office of Professional Learning and Leadership to help build a pipeline for leadership development programs through their partnerships with universities and other organization;
- Assists in the planning, monitoring, sustaining and evolving of leadership development programs;
- Supports the Principal and Assistant Principal selection process;
- Creates and leads the creation of reports that provide and track metrics related to human capital management;
- Collects and analyzes data to indicate trends, patterns and implications in order to convey through presentations and special reports; and
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**_ QUALIFICATIONS:_**

- Record of success with qualifying metrics in school improvement during tenure as leader or supervisor;
- Ability to work in partnership with others to achieve a common goal or necessary objective; builds rapport and cooperative relationships with others;
- Vast experience in leading the change process;
- Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize within a fast paced, rigorous environment;
- Ability to support and manage multiple programs at the same time;
- Demonstrated ability to work with clients at all levels within an organization;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to design, implement and facilitate systemic, large-scale conferences, workshops and events for a variety of employees;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, conducting on-line training opportunities and other technological platforms and programs;
- Ability to lead in a manner that moves the team toward the completion of goals and informs and involves others by sharing important relevant information with stakeholders; and
- Effectively conveys reliable and accurate information so that the recipient clearly understands its intent; uses appropriate written, verbal, or electronic communication format to disseminate information.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:_**

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in educational leadership, supervision or a related program of study required.A minimum of three (3) years of previous successful supervisory experience required.

**_ CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:_**

Holds or is eligible for a Maryland Professional Certificate with Administrator I and II endorsements required.

**_ SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:_**

Oversees and provides guidance and direction to assigned personnel.
