Job DetailsDivision: Nucor Insulated Panel GroupLocation: Prince George, VA 23875Other Available Locations: N/ABasic Job Functions:The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for driving our quality strategy to achieve "world class" quality by involving leadership from all departments. This will be done using effective communication, both verbal and written, leading the quality meetings, and strengthening our builder partnerships. They will encourage the quality team to respond quickly to claims to minimize cost impacts for our customers. They will be intimately involved in back charge negotiations and guide the quality team to find mutually agreeable solutions to the problems our customers are facing. They will be involved in the investigative process of solving problems by working with teammates and customers reviewing file information, shop drawings, and erection drawings as necessary. Additionally, the Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for initiating the solution to the problem or issue being faced at the jobsite. This involvement may include pro-active site visits and involving several teammates from other departments. They will be expected to identify trends and recommend solutions. They will also be required to track metrics critical to the success of our quality program and share them monthly with the leadership team. Above all, the Quality Control Supervisor will ensure that all teammates on the quality team are working safely.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance departments in a manufacturing environment. High School Diploma or GED Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Experience with instrument calibrations, record keeping and document control. Experience in Quality Manual Design and Maintenance. Experience with external agency periodic audits.
