Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
A) Processing Incoming Material
- accepting deliveries and shipments and organizing incoming bags/boxes/pallets to maintain a clean and efficient system for processing and data collection
- weighing incoming material and collecting brand data
- This role requires repetitive lifting of bags and boxes (~45lbs each) on to/off of an industrial scale. Safety equipment will be provided and must be worn while lifting.
- selecting which fabrics can be immediately added to our reuse/redistribution stock and which can be immediately processed for shredding
- maintaining the security of proprietary material
- working closely with our Warehouse Manager and Service team to prepare for weekly deliveries and communicating changes in real time

B) Assisting the Brooklyn Warehouse Manager
- Help with Shred Days
- Preparing for our waste and recycling schedule
- complete dedication to accuracy of collected data from weigh-in of deliveries
- outlining and evaluating processes
- Communicating any changes needed or errors when they occur
- Sorting with the Sorter team, if needed

C) Maintaining FABSCRAP Warehouse Facilities and Equipment
- keeping all equipment in good repair
- keeping our warehouse facilities clean and organized
- communicating when equipment needs to be purchased

**Experience**:

- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 pound bags/boxes
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP software
- Ability to operate reach trucks, pallet jacks, balers, and other material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of loading/unloading procedures and safety protocols
- Some experience in Google suite, Microsoft suite, and Slack preferred

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
