Field service specialist for ASU Parking and Transit Services (PTS) are assigned to a high-volume parking facility. The Field Service Specialist coordinates customer service delivery to faculty, staff, students and guests of the university ensuring the garage equipment is in operational order (including gate arms, ticket dispensers, intercoms, and fee computers); provides general campus information, directions, parking alternatives and other information to customers. This position will be required to work outside for entirety of shift.

DAYS AND SCHEDULE: This position will be Monday through Friday from 6:15am - 2:45pm at the Downtown Phoenix campus. Alternate hours may be necessary with advanced notice depending upon operational demands. Campus operations are open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

**Essential Duties**

**Minimum Qualifications**

One-two years customer service experience in a frontline service environment. OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

**Desired Qualifications**

Experience working with credit card transactions in a high volume retail environment with direct customer contact.
Experience working in a high volume service environment (2 years). Experience working in a parking operations at a university, city, or airport.
Familiarity with maintenance of electronic and mechanical equipment. Experience with credit and debit card transactions.
Experience in providing quality customer service interaction with the general public. Experience in maintaining accurate records.
Evidence of a valid Class D driver’s license; an MVR will be conducted. Work experience in an outdoor setting.

**Working Environment**
- Drive and safely operate an ASU vehicle or cart, getting in and out of the vehicle frequently.
- Employee must possess a valid US Driver's license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment.
- Work in an outdoor environment, standing and walking for extended periods of time in all weather conditions (heat, rain, wind) and frequently bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds.
- Required to use a two-way radio for communication.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
- Activities may involve working in extreme weather conditions; hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

- Parking and Transit Services (PTS) plays an integral role in support of the development of Arizona State University by managing the parking and commuter options on the four campuses. PTS manages a 24,000+ parking inventory system-wide and strongly encourages the use of more environmentally friendly transportation options by subsidizing programs such as intercampus shuttles, carpool, car-sharing, and public transit. These services assist ASU students, faculty, and staff in traveling to, around, and between campuses. PTS also provides ambassador and bike valet services to ensure a culture of safety for all pedestrians navigating the most populated campus areas.
