Central Distribution Clerk

**Job Summary**
Function as primary person responsible for receiving supplies and parts, checking packing slips and other receiving documents for accuracy of shipment and be familiar with purchase order creation procedures as back up.
**Essential Functions**
- Maintain parts inventory levels and organization in storeroom, back up supply area, and specific machine areas as necessary. Coordinate purchases, part identification and sourcing with vendors as needed supporting Purchasing Clerk in those endeavors.
- Be willing to correct any unsafe conditions or report those you cannot correct.
- Have a can-do attitude, be self-sufficient, self-motivated, proactive, and determined.
- Maintain the store room parts and supplies at appropriate inventory levels, adjusting as needed, and communicating re-order requirements to the Purchasing Clerk.
- Champion the store room parts organization improvement process and continually make or suggest changes to further that process.
- Generate purchase orders and place orders for parts and or supplies as needed.
- Must be willing to put forth extra effort when needed to solve problems with mínimal supervision or direction.
- Work with vendors to identify replacement or lower-cost products and supplies.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and take on additional assignments.
- Check deliveries of all products presented to the receiving dock to assure accuracy based on department policy.
- Notifies supervisor of any discrepancies in delivery
- Stock shelves in both the Storeroom & Distribution & notify supervisors of any shortages or overages
- Rotates stock to assure products are used within the expiration period
- Delivers orders to various hospital depts. & obtains signatures from requesting departments.
- Participates in the annual physical inventory

**Minimum Education/Certifications***
High School Diploma
**Minimum Work Experience***
At least 6 months of experience in warehousing or office work preferred
**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**: Must be willing to work holidays, weekends and provide additional coverage as needed
