Dispatcher/Customer Service Agent

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title**: Customer Service Agent

**Department**: VIP Taxi **Job Status**: Full & Part Time

**FLSA Status**: Non Exempt **Reports to**: MOD & Dispatch Manager

**Amount of Travel Required**: No travel required **Positions Supervised**: None

**Work Schedule**: Varies. operation is 7 days a week 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

**Position Summary**:
The VIP Taxi Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative is tasked with dispatching transportation vehicles while ensuring proper phone etiquette, data entry and customer service skills.

**Prerequisites**:
**EDUCATION**: Minimum a High School Diploma or GED.

**PERSONALITY**: Must have a very even disposition, able to handle stress effectively and be self-motivated. Must be able to work effectively with co-workers and drivers. Must be friendly, talkative and able to communicate well.

**SPECIAL REQ**:
Knowledge of Windows required. Dispatching experience preferred. Customer service required.

**RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY**:
Communicate with the Dispatcher you are relieving and the one who relieves you regarding the business on hand and any upcoming movements that will affect their shift.

Check trips for accuracy, and make the proper changes

Familiar with the cities in Arizona and the Phoenix Metro area

Field phone calls from co works on trip availability

Ensure proper procedure and etiquette is used.

Have knowledge as to drivers’ location.

Ability to effectively dispatch a large fleet without supervision or assistance.

Have the ability to take incoming calls from customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Obtain all necessary information to arrange transportation.

Use tools to find addresses, quote fares, and find zip codes.

Work as a team with other agents and drivers to make the operation run efficiently.

Arrive to work on time every day and have good attendance.

Always adhere to Dispatch policy and procedures.

Maintain a calm, friendly and professional tone with every telephone call, and every interaction.

Answer guest phone lines when they are calling for ETA’s, the ability to quote an accurate ETA., and resolve problems with coverage issues when needed.

Other duties as expected and assigned.
