- **Job Summary**:_

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Marketing & Communications to join our team. The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for brand management, creation and implementation of all marketing and communications activities, and building relationships with the organization’s constituencies, including clients, the media and funders. This position requires the ability to take knowledge and transform it into exciting and useful messages and disseminate content to the right audiences through the best distribution channels. The Director of Marketing and Communications is an integral member of the organization, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the leadership team and CEO.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual marketing and communications plan to meet the needs of fundraising, community relations and sales within the organization
- Research, write, edit, proofread, and produce internal and external communication materials, including press releases, quarterly newsletters, brochures, reports, video scripts, web content, social media content, and special publications for distribution
- Manage the website in partnership with the in-house IT team, third-party vendor and Advancement Coordinator
- Identify stories and points of view to communicate the impact of Neuhaus Education Center to stakeholders
- Oversee all social media accounts
- Collaborate with the sales team and advancement team to understand their goals, then recommend and implement marketing strategies
- Manage marketing and communications content related to special events, family support events and educator classes
- Monitor and report on marketing and communications efforts regularly
- Ensure brand integrity throughout the organization
- Leverage the expertise of board members and volunteer leaders for marketing and communications purposes through the Strategic Marketing and Communications Committee
- Manage all relationships with media contacts
- Oversee applicable vendor relations
- **Requirements**:_
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experince in communications, marketing or related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing successful communication strategies
- Nonprofit experience preferred
- Experience developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies
- Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
- E-mail marketing management
- Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Website management
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms; Raiser’s Edge and NetCommunity experience preferred
- Mastery of current social media platforms and interactive marketing
