About this Role:
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, detail oriented, process and results-driven individual. The Paralegal will assist the workout and collections staff by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review, research, investigations, and fact checking:
- Conduct public record searches, including PACER, various courts, UCC, property records, secretary of state
- Prepare collection, demand and other notification letters
- Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves documents and case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items
- Analyze contract and relationship history for adherence to contract terms & covenants
- Vox uses 3rd party collection agencies for recovery actions. You will act as the direct liaison for transferring files, responding to outside counsel document requests, tracking litigation progress and collections management
- Drafts notices of appearance and proof of claims according to judicial procedures
- Review vendor agreements and summarize salient points
- You will work closely with other Departments to improve processes, procedures, and policies
- Other duties as assigned
- Requirements:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
- You have Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) experience a plus
- You can work independently as well as working in a group setting
- You have excellent written, oral and reading communication skills
- You keep excellent notes
- Ability to multitask a must
- Computer literacy a must
- MS Excel and Word proficiency required
- You are a self-starter with the ability to follow-up independently
- Ability to read bank statements and accounts receivable reports a plus
- Ability to calculate amounts due from payment history and determine and add in applicable charges from contract
- Salesforce experience a plus
- New York State Notary a plus
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
