Busy surgical subspecialty practice in Jupiter, Florida looking for a Certified Medical Assistant who is comfortable working front and back office, who is a team player with a positive attitude.
**Job Features**:

**_Responsibilities and Duties_**
- Answer phone calls professionally, take appropriate messages and direct calls as necessary.
- Ensure a positive experience for each patient through excellent customer service.
- Send out and receive medical records and referrals for patient care.
- Triage, room patients, vitals, administer IM injections, collect and process lab specimen
- Assist with patient check in using an EMR system and patient check out
- Enter all current medications and prescriptions into EMR system
- Sort faxes from physicians, hospitals, labs, patients
- Schedule new and established patient appointments
- Scan pertinent documents into patient charts
- Check for open orders or missing test results
- Be able to perform phlebotomy
- Ensure waiting room and exam rooms are neat and clean
- Replenish exam rooms with medical supplies
- Ensure patient charts are complete and required records are requested
- Provide excellent customer service by phone with patients regarding treatment & results if necessary
- Other duties as assigned
**Experience**:
- Medical assistant: 1 year experience (preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish is a plus)
License:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
