**Title**: Medication Adherence Specialist I
**Role Description**
The Medication Adherence Specialist I will act as a liaison between the patient, provider and pharmacist. This role must be carried out delicately by someone who has incredible customer service skills, and excellent phone etiquette. Exercising empathy with our patients is of utmost importance while speaking to them over the phone. Our pharmacy technicians make outbound medication adherence calls to patients and pharmacies to ensure optimal medication adherence.
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Contacts patients and assists/reminds them in obtaining refills on their medications from their respective pharmacy, whether it be retail, independent or mail order pharmacy.
- Coordinates with care teams if they identify barriers preventing patients from receiving their refills.
- Works to ensure our patients have a seamless experience and first call resolution
- Other duties and projects as assigned/required
The Medication Adherence Specialist I has no direct reports and reports directly to the Supervisor, Medication Adherence.
**What we're looking for**
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience required
- Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state you reside required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
- High school diploma required
- Bilingual Spanish a plus but not required (medical Spanish is a plus)
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Google documents/spreadsheets.
- US work authorization
