Medical Front Desk Coordinator

**COVID vaccine will be required unless medical / religious exemption**. Seeking a Front Desk Coordinator for BCHP's Pediatric Office in Hawthorne, NY. Pay rate approx. $23/hr-$24/hr, negotiable based on experience. Travel to other BCHP Westchester county sites required.

**Organizational Duties and Responsibilities**
- Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Boston Children's Health Physicians in its efforts to provide quality service and patient satisfaction
- Demonstrate continuing education by completing all required annual trainings, as stated in the Training Curriculum, including but not limited to care coordination, population health management and self-management support techniques.
- Complete annual corporate compliance training
- Understand and effectively communicate HIPAA compliance, corporate compliance and client confidentiality
- Ensure and/or remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulation

**Essential Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities**
- Reports directly to Manager.
- Trains all new team members from multiple sites within the organization.
- Maintains quality assurance throughout the practice.
- Knowledgeable in insurance terminology and individual contractible obligations
- Able to explain outstanding billing inquiries to parents/patients, including but not limited to, Explanation of Benefits, deductibles, coinsurances, and copayments.
- Checks outstanding balances for every incoming patient for multiple sites and document on accounts to provide a smoother check-in process and ensure and improve collection rate.
- Contacts insurance companies for benefits & eligibility verifications.
- Ensure PCPs for specialist referrals are obtained prior to visits.
- Guides employees in handling difficult or complex problems and trains employees on best practices & protocols while managing teams to maintain optimal productivity.
- Discusses job performance problems with employees, identifying causes and issues to find solutions.
- Works closely with management to resolve problems relating to employee performance, office equipment, and scheduling.
- Participates in subordinates' tasks to facilitate productivity and help overcome difficulties.
- Assist with front desk duties when necessary.
